Yacht Christenings

The day you christen your new yacht is an exciting time -- the beginning of a new chapter in your yachting experience.  Often, the occasion is marked with a special celebration. This frequently involves the traditional christening with a special "break-away" champagne bottle, and a toast to the new yacht and her owners. Here’s a sampling of Steve's clients on their special day.

 

Michael and Helen Standing of Virginia Beach, VA christened their new 2018
model Grand Banks 44 Eastbay SX "ELENI" on April 11th. The Standings plan
to cruise "ELENI" from Florida to the Chesapeake Bay for the summer and then
return to Florida in the fall.

 

Jerome "Buzz" and Marcia Howe are extremely excited during the christening of their 2005 Grand Banks 43 Eastbay HX, "KENZIE" on June 17 at the HMY docks in Harbour Towne Marina, Dania, FL. The Howe's plan to cruise South Florida waters and the Bahamas.

 

Owners Norman and Jody Powell christen their 2011 Grand Banks 53 Aleutian RP, THE RIGHT COMBO, with their son, Casey Powell and beloved Salty Dog. The christening took place on February 2, at the HMY docks in Harbour Towne Marina, Dania, FL.

Stan and Andi Dameron christened their Grand Banks 47 Heritage EU, BUCKETLIST. It was a pleasure to work with such a nice couple! Congratulations to Stan and Andi.

 

 

Bill and Barbara Whitman christened their Grand Banks 49 Eastbay HX, ACADIA.

 

"Mdme Pepino," a new Grand Banks 46 Eastbay SX being christened.

 

John and Dianne Kernan christen their new Grand Banks 47 Heritage EU “WANDERER V”. 

Michael and Nelly Novac of Atlantis, FL took delivery of their 2005 Grand Banks 43 Eastbay HX “Some Nice”.

 

Dieter and Rose Evertz of Hamilton, Ontario, took delivery of their new 2007 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian RP, “PASSAT III”.

 

Jeffrey and Mardee Libert of Palm Beach, FL had previously owned a GB46CL before taking delivery of their Grand Banks 52 Heritage EU, “LIBERT-Y”

 

Winston and Joanne Lauder of Hamilton, Montana took delivery of their new Grand Banks 59 Aleutian RP #01, "ABOUT TIME".

 

Peter and Barbara Neuberg took delivery of their Grand Banks 49 Eastbay HX #63 , "18/8".

 

 

Tom and Barbara Moloney christen "Dawn to Dusk," a Grand Banks 70 Aleutian RP. This yacht was Hull #1 of the Aleutian series.

 

Grand Banks 46 Heritage EU, "Catch Me If You Can," being christened by Bob Hilligus. She is the most highly customized GB 46 EU ever built.

Grand Banks 38 Eastbay HX, "Baby R," being christened by Steve and Rosie Corso.

 

Grand Banks 54 Eastbay SX, "Bella Donna," was purchased by the Cona family of Long Island, NY.

 

Edwin and Claudette McManus christen "Mr. Ed," a Grand Banks 46 Heritage EU.
