Grand banks 70 - 73

Introducing the All New 2025 Grand Banks 70 & 73…

Grand Banks 70 and the Grand Banks 73 are both available for new orders! These fantastic models came to fruition as an evolution from our Grand Banks 54 & 60. They feature similar styling, features and benefits but on a larger scale including a wider beam (20’), added length & 4 stateroom layouts options with crews quarters & so much more!

The most notable feature in this next level GB70+ is her full beam midship master stateroom! Now featuring three or four stateroom layouts, optional utility space in lieu of 4th stateroom and spacious crews quarters.

The main difference in the Grand Banks 73 is a 3’ extension in the cockpit making her length overall 76’5” in the GB70 to 79’5” in the GB73. This also enlarges the engine room and lazarette space along with the hard top extension on the Flybridge.

This can be seen in the rendering below. The VIP stateroom sits forward with a low easily accessible centerline queen berth and en suite head and stall shower. Her third stateroom to starboard features a side by side single berth layout with an en suite head and stall shower. To port, features a utility/office space with stacked washer & dryer, desk, extra refrigeration/freezer and storage cabinets. This can also be a fourth stateroom featuring twin bunks, if desired.

LAYOUT OPTIONS

  1. Aft Galley, Salon Midship & Lower Helm Station Forward

  2. Forward Galley, Aft & Midship Salon, Lower Helm with no Companion Seat or No Lower Helm (Typical with Skylounge)

  3. Lower Down Galley - Opens up the salon tremendously for ample seating arrangements

GALLEY

The standard layout displays the U-shaped aft galley to port and starboard. The aft window drops down electrically so there is a fantastic pass through area from the galley to the cockpit. This allows the galley to be situated between two of the most popular entertaining areas (salon & cockpit) so you & your guests will never be far away from the party.

She is equipped with high-end Miele appliances including a speed oven, induction cooktop, large sink, dishwasher, storage drawers and cabinets above. The large port aft window drops down to make a cohesive entertaining space. To starboard, there is extra refrigeration, trash compactor, wine chiller, etc. You can also upgrade to a full size fridge & pantry to this starboard side for an excellent extended cruising set up.

SALON

The salon area can be custom curated to make your ideal arrangement of settees, lounges, chairs and tables to accommodate your preferred uses. Often times customers will choose a large L or U shaped settee to port and fore and aft facing lounges with cocktail table in between to starboard.

LOWER HELM

Forward to starboard is the lower helm with a walkaround helm bench with access from both sides. Her side helm door allows for easy access to side decks & additional airflow. The companion seat is located to port and elongated to fit 2-3 guests.

Lower helm features the most up to date Garmin electronics including Garmin 9219 Radar/Plotter (2) 19” Screens, Open Array Radar, AIS, Volvo Display, VHF, & Engine room camera. Engine controls for Shaft Drive or Pods, thrusters, stabilization controls & more are also affixed nicely to the lower helm depending on which options you choose.

LOWER DECK ACCOMMODATIONS

GUEST STATEROOMS (3)

Entrance to the accommodations area is centerline forward with only 4 steps to get down below. Her VIP guest stateroom sits forward with a low & easily accessible centerline queen berth and en suite head and stall shower. Twin guest stateroom sits to starboard featuring two single side by side berths and an en suite head and stall shower. To port is a single guest stateroom with stacked washer & dryer units. This third guest stateroom can also be optionally a utility space with a folding countertop, storage or extra refrigeration below.

MASTER STATEROOM

Her full beam midship master stateroom is situated aft as you egress down another small set of stairs. This final decent gives the needed headroom for this staterooms prime location.

The walk around king berth sits centerline with nightstands to either side. To port, there is a large dresser with storage drawers and either hanging locker or cabinet shelves. The entrance to the en suite head and stall shower is aft to port featuring double sinks and spacious stall shower. To starboard in this master stateroom is a settee, more storage and a walk in closet.

CREWS QUARTERS

With entrance through the aft deck port side counter top there is a private stairway down to the crews quarters. This is a very spacious area featuring an L shaped galley to port, washer dryer unit, private stateroom with a queen berth and en suite head and stall shower.

This GB70 can easily be run by a couple and if so, this is a great private stateroom for additional guests.

ENGINE ROOM & LAZARETTE

The engine room can be accessed through the transom with access from the swim platform. This water tight door enables easy access the large lazarette and engine & transmission compartments along with other utilities.

Grand Banks 70 & 73 are both powered by twin Volvo 1350’s with 1,000 hp and either straight shafts or pods, depending on what speeds and fuel burn you would like to achieve. Both engine options will give you a mid-20’s knot cruise with near 30 top speed & incredibly low fuel burn for a yacht of her size due to her V Warp Technology Hull Design.

UPPER DECK

FLYBRIDGE

The staircase to Flybridge is to the starboard side forward in the cockpit. The GB70 & 73 Open Flybridge is expansive! Once you step up a wet bar to starboard with extra refrigeration, sink & cabinets for storage. To port is a large L-settee with a table and chairs for dining and entertaining. Three STIDD helm chairs sit forward at the upper helm, duplication of lower helm electronics. Facing aft on the Flybridge you’ll find a dry bar with extra cabinets for storage along with the davit crane and tender.

SKYLOUNGE

This Grand Banks 70 & 73 can also be built with an enclosed Skylounge. The Skylounge option typically features interior access with a staircase in lieu of a lower helm station settee or you can delete this station completely. This would bring your main helm station to the all season Skylounge. You can always add a simple docking station down below forward to starboard where the lower helm typically would be or down in the cockpit, this way if you desire better visibility when docking in close quarters you have a second option.
