GB54-02-3.jpg

The Grand Banks 54 is the second model in the Grand Banks Series; first of which was the Grand Banks 60. The GB54 has the same styling, efficiency and performance as the GB60 just on a smaller scale. She features two or three staterooms with two heads, up or down galley, amidships master stateroom - depending on the layout and personal specifications you choose. She has the best Miele appliances, extra refrigeration, washer/dryer, ice maker, and plentiful storage throughout. For power, she can come equipped with either Volvo Shafts or Volvo IPS with optional horsepower depending on what speeds you’d like to achieve.

All yachts in this series feature the famous Grand Banks/Palm Beach Motor Yacht V-WARP TECHNOLOGY semi-displacement hull design which takes this model range to the next level of innovation! The performance and efficiency that is achievable in this new model is another outstanding achievement by CEO and designer Mark Richards!

WALKTHROUGH GALLEY DOWN LAYOUT

Stepping aboard the Grand Banks 54 from the swim platform, immediately noticing the spacious cockpit with soft natural teak decking, large L-settee aft with several table options including a movable teak bi-fold table for use in cockpit or salon when needed or fixed bi-fold teak table in cockpit. Either way, there is plenty of room for several chairs for additional guest dining.

Access to the flybridge is forward to starboard through a set of stairs. Underneath the staircase is counter space equipped with optional fridge or ice maker.

The forward port side of the aft deck features a wet bar with a sink and storage below. Many customers also choose to add an aft docking station here which would blend into the countertop and flip up on hydraulic hinges for easy access. The window above this counter opens with a push of a button as a passthrough to the salon and additional natural air and light. If more built-in seating is desired in the cockpit, port forward wet bar area can be reduced or removed completely to accommodate an additional aft facing settee.

On the transom, there is a grill and/or skillet and a “fender locker” as we like to call it but can be used for various storage or made into a live bait well, etc., which we have done for customers in the past.

Access to the engine room is through the center hatch in the cockpit with a ladder to get down below. In this area, there is a spacious lazarette aft with engine room forward through sound shield water tight door. The GB54 is powered by Volvo IPS or Shafts with optional HP depending on what speeds would like to be achieved. Grand Banks now uses carbon fiber shafts which greatly reduces engine noise. In collaboration with the highest level of sound installation, the boat runs extremely quiet.

Upon entering the salon, you quickly notice 360-degree views and a modern interior. The interior features the highest quality satin finished Burmese teak, recessed LED lighting with light soft furnishings to keep things bright. Teak cabinetry featuring plentiful storage, stainless pulls and overhead grab rail make this a very functional space.

One of the best features of the salon are the four windows which drop-down electronically by the push of a button! This is a great feature, one many people enjoy, to really open up the yacht with natural air flow and ability to experience outside elements of being out on the water when in the salon.

The lower helm features the Volvo Glass Cockpit which includes (2) Garmin 17” touchscreens, autopilot, open array, fishfinder/sounder, VHF, AIS 800, engine room cameras, and much much more!

To starboard is an L-settee with a bi-fold teak table. Forward of this is the helm which can be accessed from either side. A large L-settee is to port and faces the Samsung 43” TV which drops down from above. Forward to port is a wine cooler, storage and you can begin to see down to the galley which is open to natural light and ventilation; seeming as just an extension to the salon with only three steps to get down below.

The galley is to port featuring fantastic Miele appliances; 3-burner induction cooktop, microwave oven, rangehood along with Isotherm fridge/freezer drawers and Fisher Panda dishwasher. All our new boats come fully equipped with GB branded silverware and white drinkware and dishes for your convenience. The storage space in the galley is well thought out - using all dead spaces to make a drawer or cabinet that can be useful as precious storage for all our long distance cruisers. Underneath the stairs features

The generous amidships master stateroom is to starboard featuring large opening doors, en suite head and separate stall shower, extra large queen walkaround berth, plentiful storage and much more! The VIP stateroom sits forward with an easily accessible low queen berth, beneath berth storage and en suite access to head and separate stall shower.

Master Stateroom - Midship to starboard

Forward VIP Stateroom

This is the layout for Hull #01 of the Grand Banks 54. Our other standard layout option includes the galley up and forward to port and the accommodations would feature three staterooms, two heads. Forward master stateroom with en suite head and stall shower and two guest staterooms to port and starboard using shared head to starboard.

Access the flybridge through the starboard staircase in the cockpit. A large L-settee and teak table sit to port with a wet bar to starboard featuring a sink, drink fridge/ice maker and storage. Two Stidd helm chairs sit at the helm forward which features a duplication of electronics and controls that are also at the lower helm station. Aft of the settee is another wet bar with lots of storage and optional second grill. This can also be changed into a large sun-pad. The Mares 10’ with Mercury 20hp outboard tender and Steelhead crane sit aft on the hardtop with stainless railing surrounding this exposed area for safety.

Another layout option for the Grand Banks 54 is the three stateroom, two head, galley up layout. The galley position dictates the availability of head space down below so placement is crucial to lower accommodations options. The galley up allows room for a third stateroom and places the master stateroom forward.

The salon can be arranged with L-settee to port and lounge chair opposing settees to starboard (pictured above) or L-settees on both sides.

The galley to port is in a U-shape with an overhead cabinet which lowers electrically to be more easily accessible. The galley is equipped with cabinet and drawer storage below countertops, convection microwave oven, 3 burner stove top, fridge/freezer drawers, stainless steel sink & opening window.

The lower helm is across the galley to the starboard side featuring a side-door to side deck, 2x Garmin TouchScreens w/ Glass Cockpit, engine controls, joystick, trusters, etc. There are various engine options based upon what cruising speeds, top speeds and fuel economy you would like to achieve.
